LabelExpo 2019 in Brussels was also the venue for the #LABELicious Award Ceremony.
The #LABELicious competition for talents between 18 and 25 year, was launched last year to create visibility amongst future talents and to challenge them to actively share their views on the future of labels in packaging. An essential part of the project is to simultaneously develop a stronger connection between the label sector and the educational institutions in all fields related to labelling and packaging.
For this event, REYNDERS label printing and the Arteveldehogeschool in Gent teamed up to enthuse 15 students that entered over 25 ideas in 3 competitions: sustainability, smart labels and design.
On 25.09.2019, the winners of the first edition of #LABELicious were honoured and we are quite proud to announce that two students of our project are among them: Niels Hyde for "sustainability" and Lucas De Bock for "smart labels". The third trophee went to the Spanish Alessia Guera for "design".
We wish them all a bright future, preferably in a branch of the labeling industry.
The success of this first "Labelicious" is without doubt the start of a further stage of our collective efforts to show that the label industry today is an exciting and attractive work environment.
And quality does as well.
